Lucas Torreira and Denis Suarez injury updates before Napoli vs Arsenal

Football.London have provided fitness updates on Arsenal’s midfield duo Lucas Torreira and Denis Suarez.

The Gunners travel to Naples today to take on the Italian side in the second leg of the Europa League.

Unai Emery’s side will be looking to defend their 2-0 lead following their win at the Emirates last week.

Lucas Torreira has travelled to Italy with Arsenal ahead of their European clash, according to Football.London.

The Uruguayan has been struggling with a groin injury over recent weeks.

He returned to action against Watford on Monday but was forced off after suffering a recurrence of the injury.

Although in a major boost for the north London club, Torreira has made the trip and is expected to be available.

Denis Suarez struggling with an injury, may not travel

Football.London add that Denis Suarez is struggling with a minor thigh problem and it is unclear whether he has travelled with the squad.

They understand that given his injury and minimal impact over recent weeks, Emery will not risk him for the trip.

Europa League review: Arsenal 2-0 Napoli

Arsenal are on the cusp of reaching a second consecutive Europa League semi-final after beating Napoli 2-0.

Aaron Ramsey once again proved what a big blow losing him on a free will be for Arsenal as he netted in the win.

Also in the first-half, Kalidou Koulibaly turned the ball into his own net to double the Gunners’ lead.
