Everyone saw what Troy Deeney called Lucas Torreira after red card vs Arsenal

Viewers of the clash between Watford and Arsenal have provided an insight into the choice words that Troy Deeney had for Lucas Torreira, after the Hornets’ hitman was sent for an early bath.

Watford vs Arsenal

The two sides are currently locked in action at Vicarage Road, in a Premier League clash.

The matchup comes as a crucial one, particularly for Arsenal, as the Gunners aim to reclaim their spot in the English top-flight’s top-4.

The capital giants’ defeat at Everton last weekend saw them drop out of the Champions League spots, with the victories since picked up by both Chelsea (last Monday) and Manchester United having pushed Unai Emery’s men to 6th.

However, a 3-point haul tonight would see Arsenal leapfrog both Chelsea and United into 4th.

Watford in dire straits

And the opening quarter of an hour at Vicarage Road subsequently set the North Londoners up to do just that.

First off, a moment to forget for Watford shot-stopper Ben Foster saw the former English international dally on the ball for far too long, eventually allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to nip in and deflect Foster’s clearance into the Hornets’ net.

And, incredibly, just seconds after the restart, the hosts were reduced to 10 men, after Troy Deeney needlessly elbowed Lucas Torreira in the face following a challenge between the pair.

Deeney targets Torreira

Deeney could immediately be seen to be frustrated with the decision of Craig Pawson to produce a red card, with the Watford captain having made clear that he felt as though Torreira had gone to ground too easily.

As such, after being given his marching orders, Deeney turned to speak to the Arsenal midfielder, before walking away and shouting what was evidently some form of abuse back at Torreira.

And viewers of the clash have since provided an insight into the ever-controversial Hornets’ hitman’s choice words for the diminutive Uruguayan, with Deeney having repeated his sentiment during an exchange with Unai Emery as he made his way off the pitch:
