Daniel Levy provides Tottenham stadium updates

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has provided a number of updates pertaining to the development of the club’s new stadium.

Tottenham’s stadium project

Tottenham’s new home has been under construction since 2015.

The ground is set to replace long-time home of the capital outfit, White Hart Lane.

However, a number of delays have seen the official opening date of the new stadium repeatedly pushed back.

Such problems subsequently led to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino revealing his opinion last month that it would be ‘tough’ for his side to feature at the ground before the end of the season:

‘My gut feeling [is that] it will be tough, but I hope and I wish to be in the new stadium.’

However, the latest updates on the progress being made by the stadium’s developers over recent weeks have since been hugely positive.

In fact, an official statement on the part of the North Londoners last week saw Spurs confirm that their U18s will take on their Southampton counterparts at the club’s new home on the 24th of March, before a Tottenham legends game versus Inter Milan also takes place at the ground 6 days later.

And, as per the reliable Football.London:

‘If they gain the relevant safety certificates from those two events, which will feature crowds of 30,000 and 45,000 respectively, then the stadium will open on either April 3 against Crystal Palace or on April 6 against Brighton, depending on Chris Hughton’s men’s result at Millwall in the FA Cup quarter-final (currently under way).’

‘Stadium costs will not impact transfer kitty’

And, on the back of the latest positive news regarding the club’s new stadium, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has since provided a trio of further updates, as revealed during a meeting between Spurs’ supporters’ trust, and the capital outfit’s board:
