Real Madrid fans rejoice as Isco and Navas return to starting XI vs Celta Vigo

Supporters of Real Madrid have flooded to social media to react to the news that Isco, Keylor Navas and Marcelo have returned to their side’s starting XI.

Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo

Los Blancos are set to welcome Celta Vigo to the Bernabeu this afternoon, for a La Liga clash.

The matchup of course marks Real’s first following the return of Zinedine Zidane, with the French tactician having replaced Santi Solari on the bench in the Spanish capital earlier this week, less than 12 months after his departure from the club.

With the European champions having been ousted from both the Champions League and Copa Del Rey over the last couple of weeks, La Liga now stands as the sole season focus for Zizou and co..

Los Merengues, though, sit in 3rd in the Spanish top-flight as things stand, a full 12 points adrift of table-toppers Barcelona.

Isco returns

As such, a more realistic target than actually clinching Liga glory over the final 11 weeks of the season may be catching city rivals Atletico in 2nd, with Real’s first steps towards doing so set to take place in less than an hour’s time, versus Celta.

And Zinedine Zidane’s XI to take on the Celestes was confirmed a short time ago, with the Frenchman having rung the changes.

All of Isco, Keylor Navas and Marcelo have returned to Los Blancos’ starting line-up, meaning there is no room for the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Sergio Reguilón:

‘Thank you Zidane’

And to say that Real’s fans have since reacted positively to their side’s first XI following Zidane’s return would be putting it lightly, as showcased below:
