Sterling on Madrid’s radar

Zinedine Zidane has once again taken charge of Real Madrid.

Los Blancos have had a horrible time since Zidane left, crashing out of the Champions League vs Ajax and all but blowing their chances at the La Liga title.

As a result, Madrid have once again called upon Zidane to steady the ship.

The Spanish giants have already been active in the transfer market since Zidane returned, signing Eder Militao from FC Porto.

Now, it is being reported by the Mirror that Madrid want to sign Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.

Zidane is said to be a big fan of Sterling with Real reportedly having a £300m war chest to unleash in the summer.

Raheem Sterling’s impressive 2018/19 season

Given the season Sterling is having, it is no surprise he is attracting attention from one of Europe’s top sides.

Sterling has featured 39 times across all competitions this season for the Citizens.

In those 39 games, Sterling has scored 19 and assisted 16.

His Premier League record is perhaps the most impressive though. In 27 appearances he has netted 15 and assisted 11, almost one goal contribution per game.

Man City’s next game sees them take on Swansea in the FA Cup on Saturday.
