Good for Bournemouth: Harry Maguire sees red vs Burnley

Burnley vs Leicester

Leicester travelled to Burnley in one of just three Premier League games taking place on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers picked up his first win as Leicester boss last weekend against relegation-battling Fulham.

Rodgers will have no doubt been keen to build on that result vs an out of form Burnley side.

Burnley began the weekend in 17th place just two points above the relegation zone.

They have also lost their last three league outings before Leicester.

Harry Maguire sent off

Burnley were, however, given the advantage just four minutes into Saturday’s game.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson was through on goal for the Clarets.

He would then be brought down by Harry Maguire who was rightly sent off.

Maguire is now expected to miss Leicester’s next three league games vs Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Newcastle.

Although the Foxes went down to 10 men, it was Rodgers side who took the lead in the 33rd minute via James Maddison.

Burnley would eventually take advantage of their extra man though as Dwight McNeil equalised just five minutes later.
