Fulham will be a tougher game than Bayern Munich for Liverpool- Wijnaldum

Fulham vs Liverpool

Liverpool take on Fulham this game week as they look to go top of the Premier League.

Manchester City are in FA Cup action this weekend vs Swansea City.

Liverpool, on the other hand, were knocked out in the 3rd round by Wolves.

So, if they beat Fulham this weekend they will temporarily at least, go top of the league.

Jurgen Klopp’s side did have a seven-point lead at one time in the season but they are now a point off top spot.

Liverpool come into this game in solid form after beating Burnley 4-2 and Bayern Munich 3-1.

Wijnaldum on Fulham test

Fulham, however, are 19th in the Premier League with a dismal 17 points from 30 games.

They also have the worst defence in the league, conceding  68 league goals already this season.

Fulham are also currently the most out of form side in the division.

Despite all of this, Georginio Wijnaldum has made a strange claim about Sunday’s game.

The Dutch midfielder believes the tie vs Fulham will be a tougher test than the one they faced in Munich on Wednesday.

When speaking about the Fulham game, Wijnaldum stated:

“I think it will be even harder at Fulham[than at Munich].

“They are struggling, fighting to survive and that is always difficult to play against, those teams.

“Fulham will make it as difficult as possible and we have to be focused.”As quoted by the Metro.
