Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka could chose DR Congo over England

Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka could chose DR Congo over England

Wan-Bissaka misses out on England squad

Gareth Southgate named his England squad earlier this week for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.

England will host Czech Republic on March 22nd before travelling to Montenegro on March 25th.

The full squad can be seen below.

One big omission from the squad was Crystal Palace right-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old has had a very impressive season at Crystal Palace featuring 27 times in league already.

Despite his good form, Gareth Southgate chose to bring Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Trent Alexander-Arnold over him.

After being snubbed by England, it is being reported by the Evening Standard that DR Congo could be set to try and pry Wan-Bissaka away from England.

Wan-Bissaka made one appearance for DR Congo’s under-20 side in 2015.

Palace beaten by Watford

As well as missing out on the England senior squad this week, Wan-Bissaka suffered a loss with Crystal Palace

Palace took on Watford this Saturday in the first FA Cup quarter-final of the weekend.

Watford would take the lead in the 27th minute through Etienne Capoue.

Michy Batshuayi did pull one back for Palace in the 62nd minute, scoring his 5th goal vs Watford in four games.

However, Andre Gray would come off the bench to secure the win for the Hornets.
