Real Madrid & Eden Hazard

The rumours have been swirling around for months: Eden Hazard may leave Chelsea to join Real Madrid.

Hazard recently fuelled those transfer rumours with a cryptic statement.

The Chelsea star revealed he’s made up his decision about his future, yet Hazard stopped short of saying exactly what that decision is.

That left many to assume Hazard intends to leave Chelsea this summer.

The logic goes that if Hazard had decided to stay with the Blues, there’s no good reason why he wouldn’t make that clear now.

Accordingly, the only reasonable conclusion is that Hazard has had enough of playing at Stamford Bridge.

Thibaut Courtois on Hazard leaving Chelsea

Thibaut Courtois was in action for Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Los Blancos claimed a 2-1 away win at Ajax.

After the match, VTM Nieuws spoke to Courtois and they asked him about Hazard potentially signing from Chelsea.

Courtois, who is now disliked by many Chelsea fans for the way he engineered his switch to Real, said:

It would be nice (that Eden Hazard would join Real), but I can’t say too much about it.

That’s something he has to decide himself. And Real – I don’t know if they want him. Eden is a top player and my friend.
