Tottenham vs Dortmund

Tottenham hosted German outfit Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday in the first leg of their Champions League tie.

Spurs will travel to Dortmund on March 5th for the second leg.

Heading into the game, Spurs were on a solid run of form having won their last four league games.

Dortmund, on the other hand, have drawn their last two Bundesliga games, giving away a three-goal lead in their last fixture.

Heung-Min Son continues to impress

The first half was pretty quiet for both sides with Dortmund forcing one big save from Hugo Lloris.

However, it would be Tottenham who started the second half the brighter of the two sides with Heung-Min Son making it 1-0 in the 47th minute.

After opening the scoring vs Dortmund, Son has now been involved in 16 goals in his last 12 games, scoring 11 and assisting five.

Son has also now scored nine goals in his last 11 games vs Borussia Dortmund.

Jan Veronghen then doubled Tottenham’s lead in the 83rd minute before Fernando Llorente made it 3-0 in the 86th.

Since Dele Alli and Harry Kane suffered their injuries Son has really stepped up to become Spurs main attacking threat.

As a result, many fans on Twitter are heaping praise on the South Korean.
