Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has compared former manager Jose Mourinho with current Blues boss Maurizio Sarri.

The Belgian believes both managers played influential roles in his career but noted the differences in their styles of play.

Sarri’s future at Stamford Bridge is currently under threat amid unrest with the players, according to the Telegraph.

The 28-year-old has praised both managers for helping him become the player he is today.

However, he claims that the pair both have different footballing philosophies.

Hazard has revealed his preference towards Sarri’s style to play to that of Mourinho.

Hazard told ChelseaFC.com:

“From when I started with Claude Puel at Lille, to now with Maurizio Sarri.

“They all see football in different ways which is why I’m the player I am.

“They have all given me important advice.

“Jose Mourinho was special, but the way Sarri and Garcia like to play is more like my philosophy of football, but they’ve all given me a lot.”
