Chelsea drop a hint about Maurizio Sarri’s future after Man City
Man City 6 – Chelsea 0
The impact of Man City’s 6-0 win over Chelsea seems set to be significant
For Man City, this result reaffirmed the quality in Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Sky Blues returned to the top of the table after their rout, although Liverpool have a game in hand over City.
But what about Chelsea? How devastating may the drumming be?
Looking at the league table, Chelsea’s defeat was so bad that Arsenal managed to move above the Blues into fifth place on goal difference.
And what about Maurizio Sarri? Can the Italian hold onto his job?
Chelsea drop a hint about Maurizio Sarri’s future
Chelsea are gearing up for their Europa League last-32 knockout match against Malmo.
The Pensioners head to Sweden for the first leg on Thursday night.
However will Sarri be in the dugout for that game?
It’s been pointed out that Sarri has been named in the Chelsea PR material before the Malmo match.
That would suggest that Blues have no intention of sacking the Italian this week.

Maurizio Sarri vs Roman Abramovich
Following the Man City defeat, Sarri openly criticised Roman Abramovich. He said:
If the president calls, I’ll be happy, seeing as I never hear from him. To be honest, I don’t know what to expect.
I don’t know [about my future], you have to ask the club,” he said. “I am worried about my team, the performance, but my job is always at risk. So I am not worried [about that], you have to ask the club.
Has Sarri just called out Roman Abramovich?! 😳
