Tottenham vs Leicester

Tottenham hosted Leicester on Sunday as they looked to regain some ground on 1st place, Liverpool.

After beating Bournemouth 3-0 on Saturday, Liverpool returned to the top of the Premier League and went eight points clear of 3rd place Spurs.

So, Spurs needed to beat Leicester to reduce the gap and keep their slim title hopes alive.

As for Leicester, they started the day 12th in the league as they went in search of their first win in five games.

Son’s penalty claim

Tottenham would start the game brightly and in the 16th minute had a penalty claim.

The inform Heung-Min Son went down after catching Harry Maguire’s foot.

Spurs were not awarded a penalty and Son was instead shown a yellow card for simulation.

This has sparked a debate online as to if it was a dive/penalty.

While there was some contact, it could also be argued Son initiated said contact.

Son also became the 4th Spurs player to be booked for diving this season.
