Cardiff City are still coming to terms with the death of Argentine striker Emiliano Sala.

Sala became Cardiff’s record signing in the winter window when he signed for 15 million pounds from Nantes.

However before Sala could ever play for Cardiff, the footballer died in a tragic plane crash over the English Channel.

Last week rescue services confirmed Sala’s death after pulling his body from the wreckage.

Cardiff visited Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, and in sad scenes a couple of idiotic Saints fans mocked Cardiff over Sala’s death.

One Cardiff City supporter filmed two Southampton fans mocking Emiliano Sala’s death at St Mary’s.

The Saints fans displayed plane gestures towards the Welsh fans.

To be clear, such gestures are highly offensive, insensitive and they are not funny.

Video of the Southampton fans trying to make light of Sala’s passing has gone viral on social media.

Police detain Southampton fans

Local authorities have been made aware of the incident.

As a result, police confirmed that two Southampton fans had been detained following the Cardiff game.

Will these Southampton fans be charged? And will Southampton issue banning orders to those supporters?

Can Cardiff City stay up?

After beating Bournemouth 2-0 last weekend, Cardiff claimed an even better win on Saturday against the Saints.

Sol Bamba broke the deadlock in the 69th minute scoring from a set-play. Jack Stephens must have thought he’d earned Southampton a point when he levelled in the 90th minute.

But Cardiff went on the attack in injury time, and they were rewarded with Kenneth Zohore’s late winner.
