Man United fans react to the ‘Chuckle Brothers’ starting vs Fulham

Manchester United’s supporters have flooded to Twitter this afternoon to react to the news that Phil Jones and Chris Smalling form the club’s central-defensive pairing for their clash with Fulham.

Fulham vs Man United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s high-flying United travel to Craven Cottage for the first of the weekend’s Premier League fixtures.

Hosts Fulham head into proceedings sitting second-bottom of the English top-flight, a full 7 points from safety as things stand.

The Cottagers have fallen to defeats in 5 of their last 6 outings across all competitions.

Visitors United, on the other hand, are currently in the midst of a scintillating run of form.

Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment at Old Trafford at the end of December, the Red Devils have racked up 9 wins and a draw from their last 10 fixtures.

As such, United head into this afternoon’s clash in London as heavy favourites to take all 3 points.

‘The Chuckle Brothers are back’

Ahead of kick-off, the starting XI’s of both sides were announced a short time ago, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having opted to rest a number of his side’s stars ahead of the club’s upcoming Champions League meeting with PSG next Tuesday:

As showcased above, Victor Lindelof’s complete omission from the Red Devils’ squad, coupled with Eric Bailly being confined to the bench at Craven Cottage, means that United’s central-defensive partnership is formed by Phil Jones and Chris Smalling this afternoon.

As such, unsurprisingly, confirmation of their side’s XI has since seen the Red Devils’ faithful take to Twitter in their absolute numbers to react to the ‘Chuckle Brothers’ reuniting, with the response having been far from a positive one:
