Liverpool 3-Bournemouth 0

Liverpool regained their place at the top of the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Manchester City went top on Wednesday after they beat Marco Silva’s Everton 1-0.

However, City were only top by goal difference and Liverpool still had a game in hand.

So, a win vs Bournemouth on Saturday would have seen Jurgen Klopp’s side leapfrog City who play Chelsea on Sunday.

Bournemouth meanwhile, started the day in 10th place and were looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat vs Cardiff.

Mane in top form

It would be Liverpool who took the lead on Saturday though as Sadio Mane put them 1-0 up inside 24 minutes.

Although, it is still being debated online if Mane was offside for his opener.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Mo Salah would also get on the scoresheet for Liverpool.

After Mane scored the opening goal for Liverpool vs the Cherries an impressive stat has emerged showcasing the wingers top form.

Mane has now scored four goals in four consecutive Premier League games for the first time in his career.

Mane has now scored 12 and assisted two in 24 league games this campaign.
