Watford 1 – Everton 0

Watford had the last laugh on Saturday against Everton

The Hornets handed a defeat to their former manager Marco Silva, who left Vicarage Road to join the Toffees.

The only goal of the game came in the second half. Halftime sub Andre Gray scored in the 65th minute following a low cross into the mixer.

Everton’s Kurt Zouma sent off after Watford

A bizarre incident played out after the full-time whistle.

Everton centre-half Kurt Zouma managed to get himself sent off for complete stupid.

Zouma, on loan from Chelsea, ran over to referee Lee Probert after the game ended to give the official a piece of his mind.

Not willing to listen to the Everton defender, Lee Probert issued Zouma with two quick-fire yellow cards.

Zouma has now picked up a one-match suspension, which rules him out of Cardiff away on February 26.

Marco Silva after Watford

Will Everton fire Marco Silva?

The Toffees are in an appalling run of form right now after three defeats in a row.

Everton may still be ninth in the league, but they are only above West Ham and Bournemouth on goal difference.

After the Watford match, Silva confirmed he had no regrets leaving the Hornets to join Everton.
