Even Poch has his doubts

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that his ‘gut feeling’ is telling him that the club will not end the season in their new stadium.

Spurs were expected to be in their new stadium by the beginning of this season.

However, several months have passed and they are still not close to moving.

Several delays in the opening of the ground have left Spurs fans in a difficult position.

Not only that, playing at Wembley is not exactly ideal for Pochettino or the Tottenham team.

Now, Pochettino has admitted that his ‘gut feeling’ is telling him that it will be ‘tough’ to have it ready for the end of the season.

‘My gut feeling is that it’s going to be tough’

Speaking ahead of Tottenham’s clash with Leicester this weekend, he sounded pretty disappointed with the whole situation.

‘My gut feeling is that it’s going to be tough but my wish, my hope and my dream is to finish this season playing in the new stadium,’ Pochettino explained, as quoted by the Mail.

‘We’ll see if you can trust more in my gut or the capacity to finish the stadium before the end of the season.

‘My gut feeling, it will be tough but I hope and I wish to be in the new stadium playing.

‘Of course, the people are going to be disappointed to play in Wembley, not because they don’t like Wembley – we all love Wembley – but because we expect to already play in our new stadium.

‘That’s why it’s going to be massive (if we) to play the last five Premier League games in our new stadium.

‘I hope that happens, I believe it can be very positive to move to the new stadium.’
