Liverpool’s Andy Robertson accuses Arsenal of ‘desperate’ Mo Salah accusations

Liverpool’s Andy Robertson accuses Arsenal of ‘desperate’ Mo Salah accusations

Arsenal, Brighton & Mohamed Salah

A trend has been growing in recent weeks concerning Liverpool.

Last weekend the Premier League leaders won 1-0 at Brighton.

The win was Liverpool’s first since a 5-1 demolition of Arsenal at Anfield on December 29.

In both of those matches, Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot after the Egyptian was felled in the box.

Cue accusations that Salah is a diver.

Indeed, against Arsenal those protests were lead by centre-half Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

While against Brighton, Pascal Gross waved a wagging finger in a sign he didn’t believe he committed a foul as Salah hit the deck.

Andy Robertson on Arsenal’s ‘desperation’

On Monday, the Telegraph has posted Andy Robertson’s reaction to the claims Mo Salah is a diver.

The Liverpool left-back has hit back at Salah’s critics, while the Scot had specific comments about Arsenal’s protests:

Every time it happens, we go back, everyone looks at the video, and you go, ‘well, it’s not a dive’.

He is not that sort of player, so how many times is it going to happen?

I was at the edge of the box (against Brighton) and it was a stonewaller. If people are starting to say Mo has gone down easily, it’s not fair.

The one against Arsenal, especially, he got clipped three times. They still appealed. It’s a bit of desperation.

Congratulations Andy Robertson
