Mauricio Pochettino trolls Liverpool fans

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino made fun of Liverpool fans this week.

Last weekend Spurs lost 4-2 at Arsenal in the north London derby.

Pochettino has slammed Arsenal’s players for how they celebrated the win on social media.

And the Spurs boss has also used the Arsenal defeat to make fun of Liverpool’s fans too.

According to Pochettino, Tottenham’s chief scout Steve Hitchen was at Anfield on Sunday to watch Liverpool versus Everton.

Hitchen noted how Liverpool’s fans reacted when Arsenal scored against Spurs. Pochettino reported:

Steve was at the Liverpool game against Everton and was watching our game before in the stadium. And when Arsenal scored the third goal all the Liverpool fans celebrated, like Arsenal celebrated afterwards.

It’s clear we are doing something good. That respect, I love that respect. I love it when the people celebrate when they beat you.

I don’t like it when the people don’t celebrate because it’s normal to beat Tottenham. That makes me feel so proud.

Why was Steve Hitchen at Liverpool vs Everton?

Tottenham were the only team in the Premier League who failed to sign a new player last summer.

Will Spurs make any additions to their squad in the January window?

Pochettino dropped the following transfer hint when he was asked why his chief scout watch the Liverpool versus Everton game:

Be careful… There is maybe a big surprise in January.

It’s worth noting that Tottenham take on Everton at Goodison Park on December 23.

While Spurs don’t face Liverpool again in the league until March 2019.
