Huddersfield fans furious with Calum Wilson’s ‘offside’ goal

Huddersfield fans furious with Calum Wilson’s ‘offside’ goal

Bournemouth vs Huddersfield

Bournemouth hosted Huddersfield on Tuesday evening as they looked to put an end to their losing streak.

Despite losing four in a row, Bournemouth were still enjoying their best start to a Premier League season.

Also, as Bournemouth have had to play Manchester City and Arsenal in those four games their poor run is somewhat understandable.

The Cherries started the day in 7th place but a win vs Huddersfield could see them move up to 6th place.

As for Huddersfield, they have been on a decent run of form recently having lost just one of their last four league games.

Huddersfield’s decent run of form did take them just out of the relegation zone but they were still just two points off 20th place.

So, Huddersfield will have been keen to pick up some points on Tuesday in order to stay out of the relegation zone.

Wilson gives Bournemouth the lead

However, things did not get off to a great start for Huddersfield.

Bournemouth would pile the pressure on early in the game and would win a freekick inside five minutes.

Ryan Fraser would float the ball into the box and Calum Wilson would head home to make it 1-0.

This was Wilson’s 7th league goal of the season.

However, after Wilson’s goal, questions were being raised about whether Wilson was offside when the ball was played in.

It was a very close call and tough for the assistant to tell. But that has not stopped Huddersfield fans reacting furiously online.
