Good for Leicester: Burnley’s major injury problems revealed

Injury problems mount up for Dyche

Burnley’s injury problems ahead of their clash with Leicester this weekend have been confirmed and it’s not good news for Sean Dyche’s men.

That is because several first-team stars are set to miss the game due to injury.

Burnley suffered defeat at the hands of West Ham on Saturday in what was their latest poor result.

Dyche’s men were expected to have one of the biggest seasons of their history after making the Europa League.

Following many qualification games, they fell to defeat against Turkish side İstanbul Başakşehir and didn’t make the group stages.

Their early start to the season has also hindered their Premier League performances.

They have only won two games during this campaign and their latest game saw them collapse late on against West Ham.

Now, their injury list continues to get bigger and that will certainly not help them against Leicester this weekend.

Key players to miss out vs Leicester

That is because possibly their biggest player, James Tarkowski, could miss the game this weekend.

The defender has suffered from a niggling groin injury and faces a late fitness test to see if he will be ready.

Nick Pope is also still injured and is targeting a December return according to Sean Dyche.

Stephen Ward is will also miss out due to a knee injury.

Finally, Ben Gibson underwent surgery again this week.

Dyche confirmed: “It went well, he shouldn’t be out long. He should be up and it on, on the grass in the matter of days.”

Though, he will miss out this weekend.
