Ahead of this evening’s clash between Manchester City and Shakhtar Donetsk, the Times have named the hosts’ expected line-up.

Sergio Aguero is set to drop to the bench this evening with Gabriel Jesus taking his place.

The Brazilian was also favoured by Guardiola a fortnight ago in Ukraine and the same is expected again.

Another key change City are expected to make his the return of captain Vincent Kompany.

The Belgian will replace John Stones in the line-up, despite the 24-year-old forging a strong partnership with Aymeric Laporte.

Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez, who has been in sensational form since his move from Leicester City, will replace Leroy Sane.

Ahead of Wednesday’s clash, question marks surround Manchester City’s European form at the Etihad.

Despite qualification looking likely, a win is needed to eradicate concerns over their form at home and ensuring they top the group.
