Jose Mourinho vs the FA: Appeal against Mourinho language case

Jose Mourinho vs the Football Association

The Football Association will appeal the decision of an independent regulatory commission who cleared Jose Mourinho of using foul language after the Newcastle clash.

Back at the end of last month, Manchester United won a very important game against Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho’s job was said to be on the line and things looked bleak when Newcastle took a 2-0 lead.

Though, they were incredibly pegged back by Mourinho’s Manchester United.

Goals from Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez sealed what were three huge points.

Now, it’s the actions of Mourinho after the full-time whistle that still has people speaking about it.

That is because as the camera panned to him, he shouted some words in Portuguese.

It was reported that Mourinho shouted ‘“fodas filhos de puta”, which translates as “F**k off, sons of a bitch”.

Though, that case was subsequently dropped with the FA releasing a statement explaining Mourinho “has been found not proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.”

FA appeal that decision

Now, that saga is set to be reopened after the FA decided to appeal the Independent Regulatory Commission’s decision.

The Football Association are said to have assessed the commission’s findings and still feel he should be charged.

That means that Mourinho could still face charges or even a touchline ban.

Safe to say, the news came as a shock to those on social media.

Some even questioned whether the FA’s decision to appeal was a complete waste of time.

Only time will tell if Jose Mourinho will face any charges or a potential touchline ban.
