Chelsea have emerged as shock leaders in the race to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, according to Ladbrokes.

The 26-year-old has been in hugely impressive form for the Cherries this season netting more league goals combined than both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.

Despite Morata’s recent upturn in form, it is understood that the Blues are on the hunt to sign another forward in January.

Ladbrokes Latest Betting: Callum Wilson’s Next Club

Chelsea – 2/1
Everton – 4/1
Tottenham Hotspur – 9/2
Leicester City – 5/1
Manchester United – 8/1

With Olivier Giroud struggling for the Blues, Chelsea could look to replace him with Wilson.

The West London club are at short odds of just 2/1 to land the player in January.

Everton are second in the race to sign the striker who could prove to be a great option for the Toffees.

Richarlison has been used up top by Marco Silva meaning he will be on the hunt to sign a recognised number nine.

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs as they continue the search to find an alternative to Harry Kane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side need another homegrown player for their Champions League squad making Wilson a strong option.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:

“Wilson’s been in fine form this season and while Chelsea are going strong, a decent striker certainly wouldn’t go amiss.”

Wilson has been a very impressive focal point in Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side this season.

The South Coast club have stunned the rest of the league currently sat 6th and just three points behind Arsenal.

For several years, Wilson has been one of Bournemouth’s key players and remains vital this term.

His future at the Vitality Stadium has been regularly discussed with links to the division’s biggest clubs always emerging.

However, given his impressive start to the season, the 26-year-old looks to be showing signs that he is ready to step up and join a top-six club.
