Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool would have known that they were going to receive a hostile reception upon arriving at the Rajko Mitić Stadium.

However, the Premier League side wouldn’t have expected such a choreographed welcome.

Prior to kick off, the vocal Red Star fans song in unison “F*ck you, Liverpool”.

Red Star Belgrade vs Liverpool

While Liverpool are looking to briefly extend their advantage at the top of Group C, the Reds could not have got off to a worse start.

Two goals from Milan Pavkov before the 30-minute mark sees the host take a surprise lead against last years Champions League finalists.

With Napoli hosting PSG later this evening, Liverpool could be very easily dethroned at the top of Group C.

The Italian side sit just a single point behind Klopp’s side, while the defending Ligue 1 champions find themselves two points behind.

Looking to pick up their first win of the competition, the lively home support will undoubtedly be as vocal in the second half.
