Belgium are joint top – along with France – of the Fifa world rankings after reaching the 2018 World Cup semi-finals

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku scored twice as Belgium beat Switzerland in Brussels to move top of Group A2 in the Nations League.

Lukaku’s first goal came after good work from right-back Thomas Meunier.

Switzerland equalised when substitute Mario Gavranovic reacted quickest to Nico Elvedi’s header following Xherdan Shaqiri’s deep free-kick.

But Lukaku won it late on, finishing off a well-worked move which also involved Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens.

More to follow.
