Patrice Evra & Rio Ferdinand rip into each other on Instagram

Friendly joking for the former United players

Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra were good teammates on the field.

They’re also good friends off it.

Even after they both hung up their boots for Man United, they’ve stayed friendly.

Like any friendship in the 21st century, they also engage in some lighthearted joking on social media.

The latest of which saw them rip each other to shreds – in a friendly way of course.

The two mocked each other for their look – end seemed to enjoy every minute of it.

Evra fired the first shot.

Of course Rio wasn’t going to take that lying down.

He hit back with a witty post of his own, and got a huge amount of likes and interaction on the post for doing so.

Ferdinand’s slip up over Man United

Of course, spending time on Instagram isn’t the only thing Ferdinand does in his time away from his family.

The former defender also spends time as a pundit on BT Sport.

As Man United took on Watford in the late game on Saturday evening, Rio noted he thought United would win.

They did, but it’s the way he phrased it that got people talking.

Before the game, Watford had won all their fixtures.

United had struggled, so Rio noted he expected Jose Mourinho’s men to ’cause an upset’.

However, for United, a club who expect so much of themselves, to cause an upset against Watford, was a slip that many people thought demonstrated how far they’d fallen.

It was certainly something that the Daily Mail picked up on.

Mourinho’s men were eventual winners, after coming away with all three points and a 2-1 win.
