No frustration from Pellegrini

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has responded to suggestions that he is angry over his team line-ups being leaked before games on social media.

The Hammers have not made a great start to life under Pellegrini.

The Argentine boss came in looking to break the top six after some pretty heavy investment but that has not been the case.

They instead have no points so far this season and now there is reported drama off the pitch.

Could leaked XI’s be affecting West Ham?

That is because the Times suggested on Friday that Pellegrini has grown frustrated that his teams are being leaked before he even notifies his players.

The Times even claimed that it was the Twitter account @ExWHUemployee who leaked the team news.

Though, it looks as though their report is wide of the mark after Pellegrini suggested this is not the case.

“First of all, it is not true, it is a lie. I am not angry about that,” he explained in his press conference today, as cited by Sky Sports.

“I’m not aware because normally, in every team I manage before, the day before the game I work with set-pieces.

“So, all the players know the day before who will play, who will not play.

“So many players can talk with other players. I am not keeping the starting 11 until three or four hours before the game.

“There are a lot of reasons why some people can know the team.

“I am not worried about that, I am only worried about trying to win three points.

“If you play against Chelsea, against Watford, against Liverpool, you are sure it will be the same starting 11.

“I don’t hide too much about the starting 11.”
