An injury to Chelsea’s midfielder

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be out for around two weeks.

The midfielder is thought to have picked up an injury on England duty, and now could face some time on the sidelines.

It comes at a time when the player is desperate to get more playing time, and wants to be on the field for Chelsea.

With the Carabao Cup and the Europa League coming it, the injury couldn’t come at a worse time for the player.

Chelsea’s manager is thought to be giving an update on the situation during his presser, but it seems Loftus-Cheek will miss a key run of fixtures for the Blues, and ones he expected to feature in.

Playing chances

Loftus-Cheek has reportedly considered his future, and could be willing to leave Chelsea.

The club are known for failing to give chances to their young stars.

Many are out on loan, and others leave the club altogether.

Loftus-Cheek would be sought after, but is keen to try and make it work at Chelsea.

Under Maurizio Sarri, he could get a chance, but with the arrivals of Kovacic and Jorginho, the task is as hard as ever.

Chelsea are in the League, meaning a huge amount of games.

The player will expect to feature in some of those, and could look at his situation once again come the turn of the year if things have not improved.
