Twitter reacts to Jorginho’s sensational penalty vs Huddersfield

After making a surprise move to Chelsea earlier this summer from Napoli for a reported fee of around £50 million, Jorginho is currently playing his first Premier League game for Chelsea.

Ball-winning midfielder

Jorginho is a 26-year-old Italian defensive midfielder who started his career at Hellas Verona.

The Italian played a total of 96 games for Verona, scoring 11 and assisting eight in that time, a solid record for a centre defensive mid.

Jorginho would move to Napoli in 2014 for a fee in the region of £8.5 million. He would become a key part of Napoli’s midfield, playing 160 games, scoring six and assisting 14 in that time.

Jorginho has also helped guide Napoli to one Italian Super Cup win and one Italian Cup win.

Chelsea vs Huddersfield

The Blues have travelled to Huddersfield for their first game of the 2018/19 season and are currently leading 2-0; you can follow our live coverage of the game here.

N’Golo Kante gave Chelsea the lead in the 34th minute after Willian played an excellent cross to him.

Then, just 10 minutes later, Huddersfield’s Schindler brought Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso down inside the penalty area.

This gave Jorginho a chance to step up and score from the spot on his Chelsea debut and the Italian did just that.

Jorginho’s penalty was so cheeky, however, that people cannot stop talking about it on Twitter.
