West Ham vs Everton: Odds slashed on Jack Wilshere’s next move

Is Jack Wilshere leaving Arsenal?

Having grown up through in the Arsenal academy, it’s beginning to look like Jack Wilshere’s Gunners career is over.

The 26-year-old midfielder is under contract with the Gunners until July 1, 2018.

Last season Wilshere made 40 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions. Yet only 20 of those appearances came in the Premier League as Wilshere struggled to lock down a first team place.

Wilshere has now set off alarm bells with his latest social media post.

He wrote on Instagram Stories: ‘There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book.’

You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to understand that Wilshere appears to be signalling his days at Arsenal are coming to an end.

Wilshere, who has struggled with injuries in recent years, has failed to agree a new deal with the Gunners.

West Ham vs Everton

Jack Wislhere’s Instagram post has forced bookies to slash odds on him leaving Arsenal this summer.

The bookies now make it just 2/5 that he leaves the Emirates during this transfer window – shorter than he’s ever been to leave the Gunners – with West Ham the most likely side to make a move at 5/2.

Wilshere may also have alternatives. Everton and Wolves are also in the running to sign the midfielder.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Plenty believe Wilshere has played his last game in an Arsenal shirt and the odds now suggest that seems to be the case.”
