Sergio Ramos speaks following Julen Lopetegui’s dramatic Spain sacking

Incredible week

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has been speaking following Julen Lopetegui’s dramatic Spain sacking after he accepted an offer from Los Blancos.

It was revealed this week that the Spanish boss was set to be the Real Madrid manager next season, as the club announced the news.

Though, the Spanish Footballing Federation were left furious after it was revealed that their manager had not even told them about it.

While it was expected that he would just complete the tournament then head off to Madrid for the new season, that is the opposite of what happened.

That is because the Spain officials made the dramatic decision to sack their boss just 48 hours before their huge game with Portugal.

Following that, Fernando Hierro was appointed as the Spain boss just hours later.

Now, the Real Madrid legend must get his players focussed in such a short time.

Safe to say, Sergio Ramos will need no motivation and he has been speaking about Hierro’s appointment.

‘You have to turn the page as quickly as possible,’ he explained, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.

“It hasn’t been a pleasant time but the sooner we leave the subject behind, the better.

“We all admire Hierro. We know him from a long time ago and he is the ideal man for this moment.

“Tomorrow the World Cup begins. We have a big game against the champion of Europe. I hope we start off on the right foot.”
