Real Madrid submit official offer for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson
Real Madrid are expected to submit a 50m euro offer for AS Roma’s Alisson Becker on Friday after making contact with the goalkeeper’s agent, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Contrary to reports in the Spanish media, negotiations between Real Madrid and Roma have not yet commenced, although they should now officially start tomorrow following the European champion’s opening offer.
The Italian club are continuing to hold out for 100m euros, however, Giallorossi may be forced to accept Madrid’s offer should the player set his heart on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos are continuing their long search for a new goalkeeper with Manchester United set to breathe a huge sigh of relief with David De Gea not the man they are after.
AS Roma and Real Madrid are set to enter negotiations over a deal for Alisson following an opening offer from the Spanish club.
Talks could prove to be long-winded, however, with both clubs holding two very different valuations of the Brazilian.
Whilst, the club from the Italian capital value Alisson at 100m euros, the club from the Spanish capital hope to pay no more than 60 million euros plus bonuses.
Contact has been made by Madrid official with the player’s entourage and it is understood that an agreement with the keeper would be easily found.
The tricky issue remains to negotiate a fee for the 25-year-old, with reports that the Rome-based club have already rejected an offer from Liverpool of a similar size to Madrid’s reported offer back in January.
Real Madrid’s President Florentino Perez said:
“Alisson to Real Madrid for €78m in the Spanish press today? For this price, Liverpool can buy him.”
