Willian tips Gabriel Jesus to reach level of Brazil legend Ronaldo
Tipped for greatness
Chelsea forward Willian has tipped his Brazil teammate Gabriel Jesus to impress at the World Cup and eventually reach the level of legendary striker Ronaldo.
The Manchester City forward is already known to be a great player but he has had some injury problems over the past 12 months.
He suffered a knee injury back on New Years Eve in a game with Crystal Palace and had to sit on the sidelines for a few months.
Sergio Aguero was also considered to be the number one striker too, which meant even when he returned to fitness, he had to spend some time on the bench.
Now, he is back to full fitness and is expected to be the talisman for his nation as well as captaining them to another World Cup trophy.
Now, Brazilian teammate Willian has tipped the player to do great things and even backed him to reach the level of legendary Real Madrid forward Ronaldo.
“He is so young and he can improve a lot,” he explained, as quoted by the Daily Mirror.
“But he is a fantastic player. Of course he is going to learn more from the players around him, but I think he can reach that level.
“Ronaldo was phenomenal. Gabriel is just starting out. But he has a great future if he continues to improve.
“He can have a great future and maintain a great level. It depends on him.
“I like the way he plays. I like the way he does things off the pitch. He is a great guy. It depends on him.”
