Tottenham make move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish
Tottenham Hotspur have made an offer to Aston Villa to sign 22-year-old Jack Grealish as the club look threatened by financial problems.
The Midlands club have struggled for the past few weeks when the extent of their financial troubles were revealed.
CEO Keith Wyness was suspended by the club and is set to take them to court, while owner Tony Xia faces a difficult summer to sort out several financial issues.
That could lead to several of the clubs biggest players leaving and Jack Grealish is one of the biggest players they currently have.
The player was instrumental in taking the club to the play-off final but was unable to see them over the final hurdle as they were beaten 1-0 by Fulham.
Tottenham make first move
Now, the wheels are in motion over a Jack Grealish move and Tottenham are the first to make their move.
Sky Sports are reporting that the club have offered Aston Villa £15million for the forward but they are not the only club interested.
Chelsea are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old who scored 3 goals and assisted 6 last season.
Fulham are another club who could look to sign the player so Tottenham are by no means certain to sign the player.
Though, their offer certainly suggests that they are serious about signing the winger.
Sky Sports report that Aston Villa are still looking for at least double what Tottenham offered.
That could see his fee rise to at least £30million.
