Done deal: Lucas Torreira to Arsenal set to be announced

Done deal

Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira after it was revealed on Wednesday that a deal is already done.

The Uruguayan midfielder has been hotly tipped for a move to the Premier League this summer and Arsenal have been most closely linked.

Everton were said to be interested in a deal but the Gunners have seemingly stormed to his signature after agreeing a £26.4m deal according to the Guardian.

Though, while that report suggested that a deal was pretty much done, the BBC revealed on Tuesday that the club were in talks but a deal was not done.

Now, there have been some more suggestions that a deal is already done and the Gunners are just waiting to announce it.

Announcement imminent?

That is because top Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano‏ has tweeted at an Arsenal fan today revealing that a deal was already done.

Though, he was not entirely sure when the Gunners were going to announce the deal.

That could mean before the World Cup, it could even be after but the main thing for Arsenal fans is that the deal is done.

It’s safe to say that there is much optimism surrounding the club after Unai Emery’s arrival signalled the start of a new era.

Lucas Torreira’s signing will keep that buzz going and Arsenal fans will be hoping that the player could help kickstart the Unai era.

Amazing for Arsenal: Lucas Torreira & Bernd Leno deals almost done

While Torreira is no doubt one of the top targets, Bernd Leno is also another.

While a deal for the former is seemingly done after Ramano’s recent tweet, he has also suggested that a deal is close for a new goalkeeper.
