As revealed by Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol tonight, West Ham United are closing on a deal for Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Gifted shot-stopper

Fabianski, 33, has been on the books of Swansea since 2014, when he made the move to the Liberty Stadium from Premier League giants Arsenal.

And the Pole, capped 44 times by his country, has gone on to establish himself as one of the finest goalkeepers in England since joining the Swans, with his stellar performances this past season having seen a number of clubs express an interest in his services.

As such, Fabianski’s superb form, coupled with Swansea’s eventual relegation to the Championship, have since led to the widespread assumption that the experienced shot-stopper will be on the move this summer.

‘Deal close’

And, as per the aforementioned report from Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol tonight, Fabianski’s departure from the Liberty Stadium already looks to be on the verge of completion, amid claims that West Ham United are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign the former Arsenal man:

West Ham’s move for Fabianski comes after the Hammers decided against activating the redemption clause in Joe Hart’s loan deal at the club this past season.

As such, the Polish international looks set to take over no. 1 duties for Manuel Pellegrini’s men next season, with Adrian to act as back-up.
