The Serie A side have no need to sell one of their star players and will only allow him to leave the Italian capital for a huge price, according to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato.com).
The Brazilian has emerged as one of the best goalkeepers in Italy after a campaign where he helped Roma to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. The club also had a strong league campaign and lie third with just one game left to play.
WhoScored.com showed how impressive Alisson has been in European competition:
Alisson: Has made more saves (37) than any other goalkeeper in the Champions League this season
The 25-year-old has been called up to the Brazil squad for the FIFA 2018 World Cup by manager Tite. He is expected to be first choice ahead of Manchester City‘s Ederson in Russia.
Real Madrid have already met with Alisson’s representatives and are set to make a €70 million (£61 million) bid, according to RMC (h/t Get French Football):

Real Madrid’s offer is set to be €70m, several meetings have occurred between Alisson’s entourage & the La Liga side, according to RMC.
The Spanish giants have long been rumoured to be interested in bringing in a new goalkeeper to replace Keylor Navas, with Manchester United‘s David De Gea regularly linked. However, Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho has said there is “no chance” he will leave the club this summer, per James Ducker at the Telegraph.
Navas has enjoyed an impressive season at the Santiago Bernabeu, but there is still a feeling he is not one of Europe’s elite goalkeepers.
Journalist Juan G. Arango explained why he does not get more credit:
Juan G. Arango aka Yuan Ram Go @JuanG_Arango
Keylor Navas doesn’t sell and that’s why he’s not recognized. A person with humility doesn’t sell.
The Costa Rican is capable of making errors but often makes up for it with his shot-stopping ability. However, he will turn 32 this year and is not a long-term option for Madrid.
Liverpool have also had difficulties between the sticks, where Loris Karius has emerged as first choice ahead of Simon Mignolet.
The German improved during the 2017-18 season, but the Reds are still expected to be in the market for another goalkeeper, according to James Pearce at the Liverpool Echo:
James Pearce @JamesPearceEcho
@CarryOnMardy What are you on about? One is an interview this week with Karius who is the No 1 (that’s not news). The other is me 4 months ago saying I expect LFC to be in the market for a GK this summer and I still do.
Russian football expert Artur Petrosyan showed how Navas and Karius compare:
Artur Petrosyan @arturpetrosyan
Liverpool goalkeepers have the worst shots/saves ratio with 63% for Mignolet and 66% for Karius respectively.
De Gea leads in this @ChampionsLeague with 89% of shots saved.
Real Madrid’s Keylor Navas is on 73%. He’s also made the most ‘brilliant saves’ this season (19). https://t.co/5UsBdEyEIA
Alisson would be an upgrade for both Liverpool and Real Madrid. He has said interest in his services “pleases” him but that he does not know what will happen in the future, per Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Football Italia).
Roma president James Pallotta has said he has no intention of selling Alisson despite interest from Liverpool, per Sky Sport Italia (h/t Chris Burton at Goal).
The Serie A side obviously want to keep hold of Alisson, but Real Madrid and Liverpool may be able to offer him a better chance of claiming silverware. However, if they are to prise him away from Italy, they will have to spend big this summer.
