Kevin Durant provided a dose of perspective in the aftermath of the Golden State Warriors‘ 127-105 Game 2 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

After he was asked if he was surprised the defending champions were outscored by 17 points with the Hamptons Five—which consists of Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green—on the floor, Durant noted different nights bring different challenges.

“No, s–t happens,” Durant told The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami (warning: NSFW language). “We’re not invincible. We’re not the juggernauts of the NBA. We’re a good team, but that’s a great team on the other end as well.

“That’s the beauty of the game, man. Some games you’re going to get knocked out. Some games you’re going to get punched in the face. How you respond, that’s the beauty of it.”
