Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon has told The Evening Standard that he hopes to remain at Craven Cottage next season playing Premier League football, despite being linked with some of England’s biggest clubs.

It is understood that Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United have all expressed an interest in signing the 17-year-old in the summer.

Sessegnon has enjoyed a thoroughly successful campaign with the Cottagers this season, taking the EFL Awards by storm claiming five different awards.

Fulham in the Premier League

Three points were cruelly snatched from Fulham on Saturday, as London rivals Brentford scored in the 94th minute to deny the Whites the opportunity to remain in the automatic promotion spots.

The top two now looks to be out of reach with Cardiff City holding a one-point advantage over Fulham with a game in hand, with Slavisa Jokanovic’s side looking set to enter the play-offs.

Sessegnon, amid large interest in his signature, has stated his ambitions of remaining at Fulham next season should they manage to gain promotion back into England’s top-tier for the first time since the 2013/14 season.

Sessegnon said:

“I would love it to be with Fulham in the Premier League.

“I have been at the club since the age of eight. It has been a dream of mine to play in the Premier League with Fulham.

“We are so very close I just want to get over the line now.”

EFL Awards clean sweep

Sessegnon scooped five awards at the EFL Awards evening on Sunday, claiming the Championship Player of the Year, EFL Young Player of the Year and Apprentice of the Year also being named in the Championship Team of the Season and the Club developed XI.
