One might think wide receiver Keenan Allen is displeased with the Los Angeles Chargers‘ offseason decision-making.

Allen posted and then deleted a tweet criticizing the Chargers on Sunday after the team rescinded its tender on restricted free agent defensive end Chris McCain.

“I just don’t understand sometimes! But we sign people like… nvm,” Allen tweeted (h/t The Big Lead).

Allen and McCain played together at North Guilford High School in North Carolina and at Cal. McCain was also an effective pass-rusher in limited playing time last season, recording 20 tackles and five sacks.

It’s unclear exactly which offseason signing Allen took umbrage with.

The Chargers signed quarterback Geno Smith earlier this month. Smith has a history of failing to get along with teammates and did not seem like an especially necessary signing, given the team could have just brought back 2017 backup Kellen Clemens.
