Becky Hammon has been an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs for four seasons, but it won’t be easy for her to get a head coaching job in the NBA

“It’s going to take somebody who has some guts, some imagination, and is not driven by old standards and old forms,” Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said, per Louisa Thomas of the New Yorker.

The 41-year-old was already the first woman to become a full-time assistant coach in the NBA in 2014.
