Spurs have yet to make an official confirmation about the health status of Harry Kane.

And that’s opened up the floor for plenty of speculation about how long the Tottenham striker will be out for.

Kane was subbed out of last weekend’s match at Bournemouth after a collision with Asmir Begovic.

The Spurs star had his right foot trapped under Begovic in the clash, and it was immediately obvious that Kane had damaged his ankle.

Tottenham have had to be patient since Sunday to determine the extent of the injury. A scan was delayed due to swelling.

‘Harry Kane could be back in a month’

On Wednesday afternoon the London Evening Standard have posted the most positive injury timetable for Kane so far.

While hedging their bets until official confirmation is made by Spurs, the Standard suggest Kane could return in four weeks or so:

Harry Kane was due for further assessments on his injured ankle on Wednesday with Tottenham fearing he will be absent for at least a month.

The forward was unable to undergo a scan on the problem on Monday or Tuesday as the ankle was too swollen but he was scheduled to see a specialist on Wednesday for a possible prognosis.

By suggesting Kane could be out for just a month, the Evening Standard have shaved two weeks off the update in the Times on Wednesday morning, which said Kane would be out for six to eight weeks.

The Times said Tottenham have earmarked April 21st as the weekend to circle. That date could see Spurs compete in an FA Cup semifinal if they can progress past Swansea this weekend.
