Man United star discusses disappointment of Sevilla shock

One Manchester United star has explained why they lost the game against Sevilla on Tuesday as they were knocked out of the Champions League.

The Red Devil’s are the shock of the round so far after Spanish side Sevilla shocked them at Old Trafford.

After a 0-0 draw away from home, it was expected that Jose Mourinho’s side should win the game without many problems.

Though, that was far from what actually happened when Sevilla shocked them to progress through to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Two goals from Wissam Ben Yedder confirmed the win even after a goal from Romelu Lukaku gave them hope.

Now, United defender Ashley Young has discussed the disappointing game and has put it down to a lack of goals.

While it’s all pretty doom and gloom right now, Young also wants to take that disappointment and use it in the next game.

‘When you don’t score goals, you don’t win the game,’ the defender explained.

‘When you concede, it’s obviously hard to get yourselves back into the game.

‘We obviously scored the goal to get us back into it, but there wasn’t enough time.

‘It’s obviously disappointing, there’s a lot of disappointment in there, but you have got to dust yourselves down and take the disappointment into the weekend.

‘Every team in this competition is dangerous,’ he continued.

‘You wouldn’t be in this competition and this far into the competition if it wasn’t.

‘We knew they had danger, but I felt when we started the game, we started off brightly and we had a few chances that just didn’t want to go in.

‘On another day it would have gone in, but it wasn’t meant to be today and, like I say, we are disappointed.’
