Chelsea place insane price tag on Michy Batshuayi after incredible form
Chelsea have slapped a humongous price on Michy Batshuayi’s head if Borussia Dortmund look to turn the Belgian’s loan deal into a permanent move.
The Belgian has been a revelation in the Bundesliga with Dortmund and has scored seven goals, with several coming in the form of late and important goals.
Since that move, Chelsea have struggled to find the net as routinely as they should be doing.
Willian, Olivier Giroud, Alvaro Morata and Pedro have all only scored the same amount of goals combined.
That has now brought forward the question, what is next for the Belgian star?
He could return to Chelsea or he could try and force through a move and that is certainly one he will have to mull over.
Priced out of a move?
Though, it might be out of his hands with Chelsea looking to only accept £53million if Dortmund want to sign him permanently according to BILD.
That is an obscene price considering they bought him for £33.5m from Marseille and he has essentially flopped in London.
That could leave his options very limited but it looks as though his Dortmund teammates certainly want him to stay.
Marco Reus admitted after signing a new deal at the club that he would be very happy to see Michy stay beyond this season.
‘I would be very happy if Michy stays,’ he explained.
‘He showed how important he can be for us. I hope we finish the season in a Champions League place.’
Speaking on his future, Batshuayi remained coy over talks of wanting to stay in Germany.
‘I feel very well here, but that’s a matter between Dortmund and Chelsea.’
Since Alvaro Morata last scored a goal, Michy Batshuayi has:
– Scored three times for Chelsea
– Been loaned out to Dortmund
– Scored on his Bundeliga debut
– Scored a last-minute winner on his Europa League debut
– Scored six goals for for the German side pic.twitter.com/8QCYnt8FTt
