Bad for Wolves: Man United ‘reserve’ Anderson Talisca
Besiktas vs Bayern Munich
Wednesday is likely to be the last time Turkish side Besiktas compete in this season’s Champions League.
Besiktas lost their first leg tie to Bayern Munich 5-0 in Germany.
Few give Besiktas any hope of a comeback in the second leg after Bayern beat Hamburg 6-0 last weekend in the Bundesliga.
Anderson Talisca: Wolves vs Man United
On Wednesday morning, the front page of Portuguese paper A Bola has linked Man United with Besiktas striker Anderson Talisca.
Talisca, a Brazilian international, is on loan in Turkey from Benfica.
In the past few days, media reports in Iberia have been bigging up the possibility of Talisca moving to the Premier League in the summer.
A Jorge Mendes client, Talisca had been linked to Wolves just a few days ago in A Bola. Wolves were said to be considering a €30 million bid.
Yet, on Wednesday it’s Man United who are said to be hunting down the 24-year-old attacker.
The headline on A Bola states that Man United have placed a “reserved” sign on Talisca.
Man United are reportedly in an advanced stage of negotiations over a €40 million deal for the striker.
Talisca won the Turkish Super Lig title last season with Besiktas scoring 13 goals in 21 league starts.
This season he’s bagged 10 goals in 24 matches.
Wolves 3 – Reading 0
After losing 4-1 at Aston Villa last weekend, Wolves returned to winning ways on Tuesday night in the Championship.
Matt Doherty scored against Reading for the second time this season to open, and he went on to score the third as well. On loan Bournemouth striker, Benik Afobe, scored the other just before the hour mark.
Wolves remain to of the second tier, three points clear of Cardiff City.
