Bournemouth 2 – Arsenal 1

Sunday was the latest installment of Banter FC for Arsenal fans.

The writing was on the wall long before the match started.

In the build up to the game, rumours leaked out Mesut Ozil’s absence through injury while Alexis Sanchez gave the game a swerve as he looks to leave the club.

After a goalless first half, Arsenal took the lead. Alex Iwobi freed Hector Bellerin, and the Spanish full-back scored his second goal in as many games.

But minutes later Bournemouth pulled level through striker Callum Wilson.

Petr Cech slaughtered for a clanger

Arsenal goalie Petr Cech didn’t emerge from the Wilson leveller looking good.

Cech failed to cut out a cross from the right when he should have done much better.

That allowed Wilson to run in and steal the ball to send it into the back of the net.

Callum Wilson stats against Arsenal are incredible. Games: 3. Shots on target: 3. Goals: 3.

Minutes later Bournemouth took the lead.

Jordon Ibe, Bournemouth’s 15 million pound signing from Liverpool, scored a rare goal for the Cherries.

He saw a low show from the edge of the box beat Cech and nestle in the Arsenal net.

Cue the Peter Cech hate

The mistakes from Arsenal’s goalie drew scorn on social media.
