Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang calls out racism

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has taken to social media on Saturday night to highlight an issue of racism.

Aubameyang has drawn attention to an article written by Marc Schwitzky.

The BVB striker has focus his problem on the word “Affenzirkus”, which he translates to mean “Circus of Monkey”.

To add extra content to what the word Affenzirkus means, Auba also attached Google search results for the term.

The first image result was highly offsensive, showing a monkey performing the Nazi salute.

The implication of Aubameyang’s complaint seemed clear.

In in his statement alongside the images, Aubameyang said that journalists are “attacking” him.

He closed out his entry asking for readers to “judge” for themselves.

Borussia Dortmund vs Wolfsburg

Aubameyang should be back in action in the Bundesliga on Sunday when BVB pay host to Wolfsburg.

The Gabon striker has been in incredible form once again this season, despite all the problems at Dortmund.

He has 13 goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances, and 22 goals in 27 games in all competitions.

Dortmund head into Sunday’s match fourth in the table. A win would take them up to second.

As for Wolfsburg, they are trying to avoid relegation this season. They are 14th in the division and just three points from safety.

When the sides met earlier in the season, Dortmund ran out comfortable 3-0 winnners.
