Naby Keita gives Liverpool more reasons to think he’s leaving RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig 3 – Schalke 1

The late game in Germany on Saturday night was a biggy as second place Schalke visited fifth place RB Leipzig.

Leipzig ran out 3-1 winners to leapfrog Schalke into second spot.

Bayern Munich have a 13-point lead at the top.

After Jean-Kevin Augustin missed an early penalty for Leipzig, Naby Keita’s shot defected into the net for the opener.

Naldo levelled for Schalke in the 55th, before the hosts took control. Timo Werner restored the lead before Bruma put the game out of Schalke’s sight.

Naby Keita & Liverpool

Liverpool fans were keen to see how Keita got on in the Schalke game.

Currently Keita is due to move to Liverpool at the end of the season. But since Philippe Coutinho’s Barcelona move, there have been claims Keita could move to Anfield this January.

Before the Schalke game, Leipzig were again keen to say Keita is going nowhere.

However many noticed how Keita reacted after he scored.

The midfielder looked like he decided not to celebrate the goal: was he sending a message?

Keita was subbed out the game before Leipzig scored their two second half goals. He was removed after he picked up a booking, while Keita seemed like he could get sent off.

It’s worth noting that Keita’s yellow card triggered a one match suspension for five bookings.

And then there are the ITK’s claiming Keita is joining Liverpool soon.
